A Touch of Frost, the last of the old school detective shows ended in 2010 after an 18 year run. It stars the amazing David Jasons as the old school copper Detective Inspector Jack Frost. This one was hard for me to get into at first but it now stands as one of my all time favorites. This show can be rather grisly in its murders, but comic relief is supplied via Frost's interactions with his superior Superintendent Norman Mullett, played by Bruce Alexander.
This show should really be watched in order as many of Frost's stay for a few episodes and are then killed, murdered, driven batty, etc. For the full effect watch them in order.
