First Watch: Endeavor

So I am watching the absolutely entertaining one-off prequel, Endeavour with Shawn Evans taking up John Thaw's role of Endeavour Morse. I'm trying to not ruin this for the majority of the people that you haven't seen it, but I don't know how the hell I am supposed to pull this off.

Shawn Evans does an absolute bang-up job and there are several scenes in this show that are iconic, primarily the resolution of the case or the a-ha moment and arrest scene, and the very last scene of the show. I'll not tell you what happens in these scenes and will leave it to yourself to go and watch the damn show.

As you know already I am a HUGE Morse fan and watching this re-kindled gobs of feelings that I have for Morse, far more so than the pilot of Lewis had.

I am dying for this to come back as regular series. In fact, CrimeTimePreview has already asked ITV1 about the possibility of just this in a post on their site today:

I've asked the channel what's happening and they say 'discussions on an editorial and practical level' have to be thrashed out before a decision is announced. But if Scott & Bailey can be recommissioned, surely the Morse prequel is a shoo-in.
And he is right, if they did Scott & Bailey then this should be a no brainer. So everyone call and email ITV1 so we can get us some fucking Endeavour PLEASE!

Welcome

Welcome to A Dead Limey in the Thames!

This is my answer to the frustrating problem of finding out more about my favorite TV genre, British Mysteries, from across the pond in America.I will try and provide a fair review without revealing anything about the actual mystery involved. This should also keep it short and sweet for the interwebs crowd.

I have some great stuff planned for the site. Mainly a separate page for each British mystery I can get my hands on. Along with the occasional episodic re-watch meant to give you a re-cap of each episode in the series chronologically.

I hope you stick around and have a great time. Please join the site through Google or +1 any articles you might like. The more help the better for getting the word out since I am a one man show!

Thanks! And I hope you enjoy!
